CARNARVON BASIN - WESTERN AUSTRALIA Sun Resources is part of various consortiums of companies exploring two permits; in the Dampier Sub-Basin (WA-254-P and WA-257-P). The basin has become Australia’s richest oil and gas province since Bass Strait, with reserves in excess of nine billion barrels of oil equivalent. Contingent on a series of joint venture meetings, the 2008 year could see the possible commencement of a drilling program on multi-target prospects based on 2D and new 3D seismic data.
